Hello! My name is Cecilia Caselli, I hold an educational background in International Relations who’s passionately aspiring to make a mark in the Human Resources.
In my graduate studies, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for communication, while maturing critical-thinking, and developing a broadminded perspective - skills I do believe are invaluable in the realm of HR .
Furthermore, during and after my studies - I’ve dabbled in digital marketing, UI/UX design, and even spent a year working as a waitress, gaining invaluable customer service experience. Plus, in each of these experiences, I have strengthened the “life-saving” art of flexibility, problem solving, and of client relations.
That’s all very well, but… Why a career in HR?
After obtaining my Master Degree, I realized I didn’t know who I wanted to be as a professional nor if I had chosen right when enrolling in International Studies at the age of eighteen. After so many years, an important chapter of my life had eventually closed and a new one was about to start.
I felt, quite frankly, lost. All I knew was studying, what should I have done next?
That’s how I started exploring new fields of studies, while working as a waitress.
So, yeah, that’s how I came across the HR world. Before taking on this new adventure, I was seeing the HR as the person in charge of hiring and of dealing with complaints within the company, which is true, but it means a lot more than that. To keep it simple, as an HR you are responsible for the Human Capital of a company. As someone who had the opportunity to travel the world, to learn new languages, and to study abroad, I’ve learned the hard way to value each individuality, with its strengths and flaws, and its desire to improve every day. I believe that’s the reason I got passionate about the HR sector.
My other interest is about the IT industry, specifically web development. It all started during a self-guided journey where I explored the basics of web development and the mechanics of the Internet. I’m fascinated by the potential of this field and the transformative power it holds over every industry (yes, HR is included).
So, why not use them together? After all, tech recruitment it’s already a reality.
This blog is a testament to my professional journey, and I hope it can serve as a resource for others who are on their own path to this exciting field. Whether you’re a fellow recruitment enthusiast, or simply interested in learning more about the IT and Recruitment industries, I welcome you to join me on this journey.
Shall we start?
